Viva Las Vegas

I got to escape Stockton for a few days and head for fabulous Las Vegas! The point of the trip was to attend an ASAP conference (Alumni Student Association Programs) and host a mixer for our new Las Vegas Pacific Club. Justin was in need of a vacation, so I dragged him along and we got to make a nice vacation out of it!

Wednesday night we mixed it up with fellow Tigers at the Las Vegas Pacific Club mixer. It was great to see some old friends from our college days.

Thursday we dined at Mesa Grill - Bobby Flay's (of Food Network fame) restaurant. Justin was totally geeking out and thought he actually spotted Bobby in the back. Here he is looking for Bobby.

After dinner we headed to the Wynn to see the cirque du soleil show "Le Reve." It was amazing performance of acrobatics, diving, dancing, etc. All done in a pool of water.

Friday evening we took the recommendation of our friend Carolyn and dined at Mon Ami Gabi - a steakhouse in the Paris hotel. We ate outside on the patio and watched the dancing fountains at the Bellagio while we ate.

Later we headed over to The Mirage (which, true to its name, was much farther away than it appeared) to see the spectacular Beatles-themed show LOVE. Amazing! The music, the story, the performance, it was awesome!

On our last evening we took it pretty easy. I had some conference events to attend and then we caught a flick (it just doesn't feel like a vacation to me without a movie involved) and made a stop at New York New York. It was here that Justin crushed the dreams of a little girl by winning me the greatest prize EVER. A stuffed tiger. Here we are representing Pacific (formerly known as UOP) in Vegas.
